Instructions to Applicants

Applications are to be submitted ONLINE only. The essential qualifications for the posts notified are as per the UGC Regulations 2018  
You are requested to go through the UGC Regulations 2018 before applying, especially clauses 3.0 and 4.0 in respect of qualifications  
Please note that the system is designed to calculate scores based on the inputs provided. It is requested that utmost care be taken while entering the values for parameters from which the score is calculated.
The process of submitting application will be progressing through the following steps.

Step 1: Account Creation
An account has to be created before filling up the application. You will be required to enter bare minimum details before an account is created. The account creation will primarily use your e-mail and mobile number as identifying parameters. On submission, a message with your application number and password generated by the system will be sent to the e-mail provided.

Step 2: Login
Login to the system using your e-mail id as username and the password provided by the system. It is recommended that you change the password to one of your choice, after the first login. The minimum length of password is 8 characters and can be a combination of a-z, A-Z,0-9 and _ <underscore> character.

Step 3: Fill up the online application.
Enter the details in the application form including details for calculating API SCORES. The details to be provided as per UGC Regulations 2018 . A scanned color passport size photograph not greater than 30kb (150 x 200 pixels) and scanned signature not greater than 30kb (140 x 60 pixels) in JPEG format may also be kept ready for upload. Please ensure that the scanned copies are clear.YOU ARE REQUIRED TO UPLOAD SELF ATTESTED TRUE COPIES OF THE CERTIFICATES/ DOCUMENTS (FILE SIZE 500KB IN PDF FORMAT) IN PROOF OF CLAIMS RAISED IN THE ONLINE APPLICATION.

Step 4: Payment of Fee.
The required fee as per the Notification has to be paid ONLINE ONLY.

Step 5: Final submission of the form.

Step 6: Take printout of the form.


Step 7: Submit hard copies to the University.
Send the printout and copies of documents (self-attested)  necessary to prove credentials like date of birth, academic/ research qualifications, evidence of published work, previous employment, nature of management of the institution where previous service was rendered,  documents to substantiate eligibility for reserved categories etc. to the address and mode specified in the Notification. Applicants who have obtained degrees from Universities/ Institutions outside the State of Kerala shall submit equivalence certificate issued by Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala at the time of attending the interview, if they are not able to submit the same along with the online/ hard copy of the application.
